Phone number validator
Validate a phone number and get its region, line type, and formatted versions. Checks use libphonenumber metadata and return E.164, national, and international formats.
Questions
What is the difference between valid and possible?
Possible means the number has a plausible length for its region. Valid means it matches a known numbering pattern in the libphonenumber metadata.
Does the phone checker tell me the carrier?
No. The free tool does not perform a carrier lookup.
How is the line type determined?
Line type, such as mobile, fixed line, toll free, or VoIP, is returned when the numbering plan reveals it. This is not a live carrier check, and ported numbers keep their original type.
What formats are returned?
Each check returns the region along with E.164, national, and international formats of the number.
