Our pick for a first full-list clean: it covers a list of up to 25,000 contacts at $1.40 per 1,000, less per check than the 5k pack. Cleaning a bigger list, or cleaning every month? The 100,000 pack is the lowest price per check.
What you get for the money
- Email: syntax, MX and A records, disposable domain, role address, typo suggestion, free-provider flag, a verdict and a
suggested_action. Phone: parsing, validity, line type, region and E.164 formatting. Same key, same credits for both. - REST API, batch endpoint (50 per request), hosted MCP server and the signup-form widget all draw from one balance.
- Failed lookups are free. When our DNS lookup fails (reason
dns_error), the check is given back whatever the verdict. - Unused credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase. Email support@contactlint.com with your key prefix. Refund policy.
- Optional auto-reload and a referral credit of 5,000 checks each when someone you refer buys a first pack.
What it does not include

Questions
What counts as one check?
One email address or phone number checked, through the single endpoint, the batch endpoint, the widget or an MCP tool. A batch of 50 addresses is 50 checks. Checks whose DNS lookup fails are given back.
What happens when the 250 free checks run out?
Requests return HTTP 402 until the next calendar month, or until you buy a credit pack. Credits are used only after the month's free checks are gone, so a pack lasts as long as your usage says it does.
Do credits expire?
No. Our terms set no expiry date. Unused credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase.
Is there a subscription?
No. You pay once for a pack. If you never want to run out mid-job, optional auto-reload buys the pack you choose when your balance drops below a number you set; it is off unless you turn it on.
Why is it cheaper than mailbox verifiers?
Because it does less. Mailbox verification needs SMTP connections to every receiving server. ContactLint runs the checks that answer in one DNS round trip, which costs very little, so 5,000 checks are $9.
Can I get an invoice or pay by card on file?
Stripe Checkout emails a receipt for each purchase and your card details never touch our servers. Auto-reload keeps a card on file with Stripe for repeat packs.
